A church usher is a person who is specifically called to welcome and assist parishioners and visitors to church events and services. Ushers play an important role in creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere where people feel at home and included. Their mission is to be available to answer questions, assist with seating, collect offerings, and in other ways support the order and flow of church services. Through their service, they demonstrate God’s love and hospitality in action.

Bible Words

Show hospitality to one another without grumbling.” (1 Pe 4:9)

13 Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.” (Ro 12:13)

Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.” (Heb 13:2)

23 Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.” (Col 3:23–24)
