The Son of God is eternal, has always existed and is God but at the same time a person in his own right. God the Son was born on earth in Jesus Christ to save humanity from sin and, through his death and resurrection, to give eternal life to all who believe in him. Jesus Christ, as both God and man, is the perfect image of God and the mediator between God and humans. Jesus is sitting at God’s right hand, praying for us, and when the time is right, he will return to earth to save those who wait for him and to judge the wicked.
Bible Verses
“1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. … 14And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.” (Jn 1:1, Jn 1:14)
“6who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. 8And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. 9Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, 10so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Php 2:6–11)
“5For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,” (1 Ti 2:5)
“15For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.” (Heb 4:15)
“6But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—he then said to the paralytic—“Rise, pick up your bed and go home.”” (Mt 9:6)
“34Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.” (Ro 8:34)
“29For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.” (Ro 8:29)
“3He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,” (Heb 1:3)
“9For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily,” (Col 2:9)
