What Does the Bible Say About the Spirit of God?

The eternal Spirit of God, the third person of the Trinity, is often described by words like “spirit”, “breath” and “wind”. When God breathes his Spirit into man, he is given life, and when God fills man with his Spirit, he is given vivid creativity. The Holy Spirit is an all-knowing, eternal, holy person with infinite power. God’s Spirit takes up residence in the saved person and gives joy, peace, knowledge, leadership, skill, and spiritual gifts.
